How much would it cost to send a thin scarf from Turkey to London?
I managed to leave a nice scarf behind in Istanbul. The hostel says it will cost $57 to post it from Turkey to England, which makes it around £44.
I think this sounds really expensive as it’d only cost around £5 to send it the other way around. Any Turkish people out there who could advice?

They probably checked the rates of UPS or DHL. Which is usually pretty expensive.
Since it’s a scarf, you can tell the hostel to send it through the national postal service (PTT, www.ptt.gov.tr) it might take longer to ship but it will cost much much less. Since they rate it by weight.
